While I was at Sengkang CP (Compass Point) the other day, munching on my fav. sardine curry puff, a group of school girls in brown checkered uniform breeze past me. At that moment, I was amazed that nowadays school uniforms nowadays look hip and *haps (happening)!

GirlTalk : What’s Flower Power?

Saw this photo online and this is the most lasting image from the last big march on the Pentagon, on October 21, 1967. In a nutshell, the photographer, Bernie Boston, 73, took this photo for the Washington Star. His editors, at that time, took no interest in the picture and buried it deep inside the files. Carnations, seen are placed in the gun barrels.

GirlTalk : Polka Dots

Polka dot is a pattern consisting of dots. While polka dots are ancient, they first seen on clothes in the late 19th century in Britain. They are seen sometimes, from a series of dots that are equally spaced and sized to a random arrangement of multicolored dots of different sizes. I simply love formal wear in polka dots which creates such great contrast, formal and yet funky at the same time!
